Florestan / Donna Karan (Donnerhall / Anduc)
Floradonna (Florestan I/Donnerhall/Anduc) was imported from Germany as a yearling and she was Champion Mare at her Mare Performance Test in 2011. Her first foal by Sandro Hit is a licensed stallion who completed his 30-day test at Münster-Handorf in Germany. Her 2011 filly Simone (Sandro Hit) was the Champion Filly of the 2011 North American Oldenburg GOV Inspection Tour, 2013 USDF All Breeds Champion 2 YO Filly, 2012 USDF All Breeds Reserve Champion Yearling Filly, 2012 USDF West Coast Breeders Reserve Champion Filly, and twice in the top ten USDF HOY Fillies, and twice California Dressage Society Champion Mare/Filly, receiving scores up to 85%. Simone has already produced four Foals of Distinction, including a Stallion Prospect by Franklin.
Florestan I is an incredibly influential stallion descended from the Selle Francais stallion Furioso II. He has produced numerous stallion sons and state premium mares. He was champion of the 1988 Rhineland approval and won his performance test in Warendorf the following year. Ninety sons are licensed for breeding (Fidermark, Florencio, French Kiss, Festrausch, Fleruop, Fürst Heinrich, etc.) and 222 daughters were proclaimed State Premium mares. Fidermark, a four-year-old champion at the Bundeschampionat and a Grand Prix performer. The mare Ferrara win the five-year-old class at the Bundeschampionate and competed at Prix St. Georges with Isabell Werth. His son French Kiss went on the win the World Young Dressage Horse championships for 6-year-olds in 2004, while another Florestan son, Florencio won the 5-year-old title at the same championships.
Florestan’s dam, Raute, was a successful show mare and the 1986 Young Broodmare Champion at the National Broodmare Show in Verden. Aside from Florestan, Raute produced three States Premium mares. Raute’s grandsire is the Trakehner Garamond, a noted producer of dressage horses.
