We believe that the basis of any good breeding program is the careful selection of quality mares. Our mares are chosen not only for their internationally recognized bloodlines, but also for their temperament, conformation, and other individual qualities.
Hidden Springs Ranch’s dedication to excellence is validated by the high number of premium foal awards received at breed inspections, as well as the multitude of young stock which have earned Championships and rankings in the top five of USDF Horse of the Year Sport Horse Breeding Championships, claimed USDF All Breeds Championship awards and California Dressage Society Championships, and made Hidden Springs Ranch among the top ten in the USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeder of the Year awards.
In the past three years alone of the forty-three foals presented for inspection, thirty were named Premium, nineteen Foal of Distinction ribbons were presented, and seven stallion prospects were named. Three more Hidden Springs Ranch superstars earned USDF Dressage Sport Horse Breeding Horse of the Year titles, including the elegant filly Fait Accompli HSR (Fackeltanz x Sir Donnerhall), stallion prospect Leander HSR (Lord Carnaby x Hohenstein), and the stunning gelding Sibelius (Sir Donnerhall x Olympic Ferro).
While all of our horses are bred with dressage in mind, many of them also excel in eventing such as Favian and Quinn HSR. Favian (French Kiss x Relevant , is now competing at the FEI CCI5* level with of Valerie Vizzcarondo Pride of Blue Clover Eventing.
